YANGON | LEADERSHIP
VISION:To transform communities throughout Myanmar by the restorative power of the Gospel.
MISSION:To plant churches throughout Myanmar that will preach the love of Christ through both word and deed. To this end we equip Christians to be biblically literate and Holy Spirit filled church planters and pastors. Our training consists of of prayer, personal discipleship, and service to the poor in addition to classroom instruction and practical church ministry.
- THE SCHOOL: The Bible College is at the heart of the mission. Students receive a broad educational curriculum that includes biblical studies, theology, church history, preaching, and English.
- THE SLUM MINISTRY: Situated on the outskirts of Yangon, the Hlaingtha Yar township slum is a village of bamboo shacks built on stilts over waste-water. During the rainy season months, this water can rise above the floor level in many of the shacks.
- THE ORPHAN MINISTRY: MEBC currently cares for 10 children aged 7-14. These children come from families with missing parents or with parents who are too poor to care for them. They come from all across Myanmar; all are from Buddhist backgrounds.
