Energy Star
Empowering Ministries
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. In 2010 Energy Star assisted in reducing greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 33 million cars all while saving nearly $18 billion on their utility bills. Facilities nationwide are beginning to apply for ENERGY STAR ratings. These ratings require a detailed energy assessments of facilities and utility bill analysis through ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager. These studies require an engineer to review and stamp the findings.
We have successfully benchmarked hundreds of facilities nationwide into EPA’s Port Folio Manager. Benchmarking allows the respective facility to measure its energy performance compared to prior years, thus making adjustments that could improve efficiencies.
